A Call to Rise Up

Are you ready lady because I'm going to shoot it to you straight?

I do not believe in coincidence. I do, however, believe that God works all things together for our good because He has promised us this in Romans 8:28. For some time now I've been hearing countless Christian women say they feel God is calling us to rise up and take action on our God-shaped dreams. This is confirmation to me because I've had this same feeling. You know it's often easy to shake off a feeling we personally have until you notice it almost every place you go whether online or in the "real" world.

I did not become a Freedom + Empowerment coach by chance, I know chance does not exist.

I became a Freedom + Empowerment coach by divine guidance.

God has given me the courage to step out in fear in order to rise up to the calling He has placed on my life. I believe He is extending this same courage to you as well. Have you been coming up with excuses as to why you can't fulfill what God is calling you to do? If so, read on, we are about to become good friends.

My word of the year, for 2017, is rise up.

Which came to me on New Year's Eve while I was spending quite time journaling. Again, a total God thing. With each passing month, I am witnessing Him bring together all these different pieces of my life that I know He is using to bring about a great work that will no doubt glorify His mighty name. I am seriously in awe of what He is putting together behind the scenes (and I can't wait to start sharing it with you all). Let me share this with you though, the phrase rise up, is scary for me to own, especially for the entire year, 365 days, WOW.

Again, I do not believe in coincidence, God gave me this word because He knows how quickly I'll chicken out and become paralyzed by fear.

When I feel afraid, frustrated, confused, and unsure of my next steps I take a pause. I go back to my phrase, rise up, ok Staci, what action can you take now that would cause you to rise up? Then I answer the questions and begin taking action. Sounds simple yet scary, right? Each day I come more to terms with doing the scary because I know the alternative is living scared and small which means living a life far from what God has called me to.

Do not rejoice over me, my enemy. For when I fall I will rise.
— Micah 7:8

For the woman who feels something like this, Lord I'm scared, I don't know what to do, I don't have what it takes to move forward in life so what now?  Have you left me Lord? Do you even hear me? I want you to know that myself and countless others can relate to these feelings and these questions.

God has already promised us that He never leaves us, right?

With that being said God also has expectations of us. He has made us in His likeness according to Genesis 1:26 which means He has already given us all that we need, it's already inside of us. We just can't see it because we have cloudy vision, we have too many things yelling at us, we have filled ourselves up with everything but God. So what am I saying? I'm saying God requires that we take action even when we are terrified. God is asking us to step out and take action in faith He realizes you don't know the next ten steps, that is what doing things in faith looks like.

The devil doesn’t know what to do with somebody who just won’t give up.
— Joyce Meyer

An additional tip I have for you is to open up our eyes to the many blessings He has already bestowed upon you, expressing gratitude daily is a game changer.

In fact, I challenge you to practice daily gratitude for a minimum of 21 days. Research has proven that if we do something daily for 21 days we begin to create a habit, even better if you can go for a full month. Keep it simple, just write down 2-3 things (people, places, experiences, etc) that you are grateful for each day making sure you change up your list with each changing day.

Remember to spend time daily reading God's Holy word.

In doing that the Holy Spirit will reveal things to you and stir your heart regarding specific things, check out Romans 8:26 for more on this. God is always there waiting to receive us with open ears, open arms, and an open heart. We just have to be willing to humble ourselves and go to Him just as we are. I realized something one day, it's sort of embarrassing that it took me so long to realize this.

God isn't going to love me (or you) anymore in the future than He does right now.

When we do X, Y, or Z that does not change His perspective of us. That does not increase or decrease His love for us. That does not change the fact that He died on the cross for our sins. He loves us more than we can fathom right here, right now, just as we are. We are powerless over His great love for us.

There is absolutely nothing we can do to earn His never ending, unfailing, unconditional love, nothing.

He freely gives it to us, however, Jesus paid a high price in order for us to receive it. He died on the cross for our sins.

How did we ever think we would make it on our own? We are too broken and scared to truly make it in this life without Him. Now go forward and listen to the pull that God has placed on your heart.
